TKAM chapter 1

Today we discussed chapter 1!  To those of you who offered questions and input, I thank you!

After the reading you worked on the questions and vocabulary for the first chapter.

ON LOOSE LEAF: To Kill A Mockingbird Chapter 1 questions

1.       Who is the narrator of the story—name, gender, nickname?

2.       What do we know about the Ewells?

3.       Who was Simon Finch?

4.       Where is the narrator’s mother?

5.       Describe the setting of the story.

6.       What is the reputation of the Radley family?

7.       Explain the bet Dill made with Jem.

LOOKING AHEAD:

Thursday--Webquest in the computer lab.  The webquest will be due on Monday.  NO late papers will be accepted and no homework coupons can be used.

Friday--Correct and collect chapter 1 questions (see above).  This will be the last grade for you for the 4th quarter.  Make sure you have it completed!  FINISH STRONG!

--you will have a majority of the time to work on your Fahrenheit 451 project today (Friday).  If you come with nothing to do you will receive a 0 / 5 points.
