reading chapter 27; reivew ch.22-27

Today you read chapter 27 independently.

Then you answered questions for the review sheet (Ch. 22-27).  Chapter 27 questions were written on the board, but if you did not have enough time to jot them down, here they are--

8.  Summarize the "out of the ordinary" things that happened.
9.  Why did Maycomb decide to have a Halloween pageant/festival?
10.  What is Scout's part in the pageant?
11.  List 3 allusions from chapter 27 and research them.  Write out their meanings next to them.

#11 is worth 5 points; the entire assignment is worth 22 points.

HOMEWORK:
Complete the review sheet and reading for tomorrow.

LOOKING AHEAD:
Final draft of your essay (that you started on Tuesday) is due on Monday.  I will be grading it on content, organization, word choice, sentence structure/variety, and editing value.

Character Trading Card: last week you worked on choosing a character and filling out the brainstorm sheet.  The next step is to find an image of who you think should play the character.  You can choose to search for an actor or actress online (or a photo from a magazine or a family member) and print out a copy.  OR you can render your own face.  Either way have the print out of it or your rendering here at school on MONDAY.
